![]() Ducklings and Teddy Bears Thank you to Sharon (Daisy and Dottie's Gran) for bringing in her ducklings on Tuesday for us to see. They were absolutely gorgeous and Year 5 had great fun meeting them. We enjoyed a lovely on the field on Friday, enjoying some down-time with our teddy bears. Pupils have worked so hard this term and done a brilliant job at completing their behaviour board. Well done Year 5. Have a super half term and we'll look forward to seeing you in June. ![]() Paperchain challenge ... The Manor provided the perfect venue to enjoy a variety of activities for our Residential. We all agreed how brilliantly the children behaved, they were excellent representatives of our young community. Thank you to parents for getting them there and special thanks to all members of staff who gave up their time to make this trip possible, without you we couldn't enjoy such trips away. We hope these photos offer a small snapshot of the fun we had.
We enjoyed the cricket session with Niall on Monday morning. I was really impressed with everyone's throwing skills and how you all supported and encouraged one another, well done.
In Science, we are learning about Materials and it looks like pupils had fun mixing unusual combinations! Coronation Celebration - Friday 5th May. We are looking forward to the school 'bring and share' picnic on Friday afternoon (lunches will be as normal). Pupils have been given a slip of paper with the food they are going to bring in (as chosen by the child). In between the downpours, Year 5 managed to squeeze-in an Easter Egg hunt this week. We have also enjoyed some problem solving games today.
Congratulations to Scarlett W who took part in a quiz competition and won the class a free farm visit in the Summer Term. We will keep you updated with more information when we have it. In Computing this week, we've been learning how to send messages in binary - excellent work everyone!
In Science, we made hydroponic drinks bottle systems and in Computing, we attempted to programme a Mars Rover landing system.
